★★★★★★★★★★4.6 · 456 reviews · 9 hours · from $99Our pick

Meet tulip farmer Daan at De Tulperij, walk among seasonal flower fields, and hear how bulbs are grown. Cruise Kagerplassen for one hour, then spend about four hours at Keukenhof. Comfortable buses, Keukenhof admission, and flexible return buses are included. Food and hotel pickup are not.

“Great day out! It was lovely seeing the tulip fields in bloom. 🌷🇳🇱 The tulip farmer was informative. The bus journey was efficient and comfortable. Keukenhof was very busy; lots of crowds but we managed to grab lunch and stand up to eat it! Would recommend taking a pack lunch. Boat cruise was relaxing, would’ve been more enjoyable if weather was warm so one could sit on the top deck and enjoy the view. It was a bit crammed in inside. All in all a good day trip out!”

Amsterdam private tour to windmills, cheese farm and villages

3.Amsterdam private tour to windmills, cheese farm and villages

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 262 reviews · 7 hours (approx.) · from $362Top rated

Spend about seven hours with a private guide such as Philip or Teun, traveling from Amsterdam to working windmills, Edam, Monnickendam, a cheese and clog farm, and quiet Waterland villages. Hotel pickup, transport, bottled water, taxes, and one windmill admission are included. Lunch is extra.

“Phillip was an excellent tour guide with vast knowledge of the area. We asked for a tour away from the tourist traps and he delivered. We saw the windmills up close and got a private tour of two of the lumber mills. We had a delightful lunch in the fishing town of Monnickendam. Then visited a traditional cheese farm. We capped off our tour with a visit to village of Waterland and the unique church of Broek. I am not a fan of big tour groups and ear pieces. This was a delightful tour and well worth the money. Thanks to Phillip for an exceptional experience!”
