Small farms take small groups and fill early. Below: the 15 historical tours to book ahead, what each includes and how they differ.
Travel about 35 to 40 minutes from Tromsø to a Sami reindeer camp. Feed a herd of around 300 by hand, warm up with hot chocolate and stew, then hear Sami stories and joik singing in a lavvu. Guides such as Inga, Johannes, and Daniel have led engaging cultural sessions.

At Sun Fire Ridge near Wasilla, your private group spends about two hours with a friendly milkmaid exploring the barn and pasture.
